Influence Of The Septuagint Upon The Pesitta Psalter (1895)

""The Influence Of The Septuagint Upon The Pesitta Psalter"" is a scholarly work written by Joseph Frederic Berg in 1895. The book explores the relationship between two ancient translations of the Hebrew Bible - the Septuagint and the Pesitta Psalter. Berg examines how the Septuagint, a Greek translation of the Hebrew Bible, influenced the language and content of the Pesitta Psalter, a Syriac translation of the Book of Psalms. The author provides a detailed analysis of the similarities and differences between the two translations and argues that the Septuagint played a significant role in shaping the language and theology of the Pesitta Psalter. This book is an important resource for scholars of biblical studies and comparative linguistics who are interested in understanding the historical context and cultural influences that shaped the development of these ancient translations. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
