Clash of Worldviews: Understanding the Hidden Forces Behind Global Conflict

The Clash of Worldviews: Understanding the Hidden Forces Behind Global Conflict Why do nations clash, societies polarise, and leaders struggle to cooperate in a time of shared global crisis? The Clash of Worldviews offers a groundbreaking answer: beneath politics, culture, and ideology lie deeper currents - the evolution of human consciousness itself. Richard Barrett, acclaimed author of Love, Fear and the Destiny of Nations and The New Leadership Paradigm, reveals how nine distinct worldviews - from Family/Clan Awareness to Unity Awareness - shape not only individuals and communities but also the fate of nations. Each worldview carries gifts and shadows, and when they collide, conflicts erupt across borders, generations, and belief systems. Drawing on decades of research and his widely recognised Barrett Worldview Model, Barrett maps the hidden architecture of human development onto today's most urgent challenges: authoritarianism vs. democracy, nationalism vs. global cooperation, climate denial vs. ecological stewardship, gender divides, and generational rifts. With clarity and depth, he shows how these clashes are not random struggles but evolutionary tensions - invitations for humanity to grow into new stages of collective awareness. Both practical and visionary, The Clash of Worldviews equips leaders, policymakers, and changemakers with a lens to understand global conflict at its root. More than analysis, it offers hope: that by recognising the deeper forces at play, we can navigate division, heal fragmentation, and consciously choose a future aligned with the well-being of people, planet, and generations to come.
