Date And Authorship Of The Book Of Splendor

""The Date and Authorship of the Book of Splendor"" is a book written by Arthur Edward Waite, which explores the history and origins of the mystical Jewish text known as the Zohar. The Zohar, also known as the Book of Splendor, is considered one of the most important works of Jewish mysticism, and Waite delves into the various theories surrounding its authorship and historical context. He examines the claims that the Zohar was written by the 2nd-century sage Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai and explores the evidence that suggests it may have been written much later, possibly in the 13th century. Waite also discusses the influence of the Zohar on later mystical traditions and its impact on Western esotericism. This book provides a fascinating insight into the history and significance of the Zohar and is an essential read for anyone interested in Jewish mysticism and the occult.THIS 18 PAGE ARTICLE WAS EXTRACTED FROM THE BOOK: Doctrine and Literature of the Kabalah, by Arthur Edward Waite.
