God's Questions: A Commentary and Devotional Study

What does it mean when the Creator of the universe asks a question?

From the garden of Eden to the closing words of the Apocalypse, God speaks - and, sometimes, He asks. God's Questions takes readers on a journey through the Holy Scriptures to encounter moments when the Almighty addresses humanity not with a command but with a question: Where art thou? Is any thing too hard for the Lord? What seek ye? What will ye that I shall do unto you? Lovest thou me?

These are not the questions of One who does not know the answers. They are invitations - to self-examination, to repentance, to wonder, and to a deeper relationship with the One who formed us.

Drawing on the King James Bible, author and teacher Jack Lyon presents each divine question with careful attention to its biblical context, then connects the ancient text to the problems and challenges of contemporary life. Three penetrating "Life Application" questions accompany each entry, making this volume ideal for personal devotion, small group study, or pastoral reflection.

God's Questions is for anyone who has ever wondered whether God is truly paying attention. He is - and He has something to ask you.
