Power of Love

The Power of Love tells the story of a family as they cope with the death of their husband and father. Death isn't the only tragedy they must survive. Kate McCallen begins the arduous task of closing her husbands business, and learns he has led a secret life and has a son and a daughter by women with whom he had affairs. Jolene Markham, the wife of David's attorney, confesses that she and David had a seven year affair. Heartbroken and disillusioned, Kate vows never to love or trust anyone again. She relocates to Florida and begins a new life and eventually finds love. Will the ghosts from her past cause her to pass up the chance for true happiness. When David's illigetimate daughter, Bethany is attacked and her mother is killed, Kate's children go to St. Louis to care for her and a bond developes between them. The Power of Love not only tells the story of romantic love but of the emotional bonds that sustain a family during the most difficult times of their lives.
