Knitting-Book of Counterpanes, Toilet-Covers, Pincushions, and Other Articles of Fancy Work

This vintage book contains a detailed guide to knitting, with directions for making toilet-covers, pincushions, and many other articles of fancy work. Highly-accessible and written with the novice in mind, this volume is ideal for those with little previous knitting experience, and would make for a fantastic addition to collections of related literature. Contents include: "Knitting", "Preface", "Explanation of Terms", "Patterns For Counterpanes Knitted in Squares or Small Pieces", "Patterns for Counterpanes Knitted in Stripes", "Patterns for Knitted Edgings", and "A Pattern for Fringe". Many vintage books such as this are becoming increasingly scarce and expensive. We are republishing this volume now in an affordable, high-quality edition complete with a specially commissioned new introduction on knitting. This book was first published in 1871.
