Have you ever wondered what happens to the people we leave behind? Or whose left accountable for the mistakes we make? Two young men, one at the University of Kent and the other a worker in the London suburbs. In Canterbury, we witness the hedonistic lifestyle of one of the drug-fuelled students. Whilst he becomes increasingly attracted to the social scene, his long term girlfriend Helen, expects serious commitment and a dangerous clash of wills ensues. In London, a twenty-something no-hoper is stuck in a downward spiral of bad drugs, bad booze and bad sex. That is until he meets the woman who seems capable of taking him away from his destructive lifestyle. Both characters try desperately to move their lives forward, but will mistakes from their past let them? The lives of the two men intertwine in a tense finale, proving that sometimes the past just won't walk away...
