News from the Northwoods: A Memoir

This is the story of two women, life partners for 22 years, leaving rooted friendships, secure jobs and a home in San Jose, CA to run a lakefront resort in a small town in northern Wisconsin. Using narrative, newsletters and email correspondence, both women give voice to this account where hope is constantly shattered, but never surrendered. It's a story of strength and courage, and of love, death and survival.
