Jacksonian Papers: A Portuguese Water Dog grows up on an island in Maine

Jackson, a Portuguese Water Dog, spent his summers on a small secluded island off the coast of Maine. He played with his dog friends, swam in the icy waters of the Atlantic Ocean, and got himself into mischief around the island. The summer of 2009, President Obama's first summer in office, Jackson turned three (or twenty-one in dog years). Through his friends, he learned about many of the issues facing the new President: global warming, health care, aging, gay rights and more. Jackson's new knowledge put him on a quest to inform the President's Portuguese Water Dog, Bo, just what he learned.
