In the summer of 1936, Samantha Stanton, at eighteen, feels her privileged life has been completely planned out for her. Desperately seeking to choose her own path, she runs away on the eve of her debutant ball. What she finds at her father's summer estate on Lake Tahoe turns her life upside down.
