When Creighton Castle defends his wife during a robbery attempt at his home, he shoots and kills three young teenagers. One of the boys is a fourteen-year-old illegal immigrant from Mexico whose father is a barbaric hit man for a Mexican drug cartel. The man is a sicario-the most heinous type of hired assassin, skilled in the ways of kidnapping, torture, and murder. The other two teenagers have ties to a savage Houston street gang. While under investigation, Creighton seeks protection under the state of Texas' Castle Doctrine law and soon finds himself embattled in a multi-front war crossing legal, emotional, and moral boundaries.
