China's Comeback: How the Original Superpower is Regaining Its Preeminence

This book tries to outline and explain China's development model. It focuses on what China plans to do in the next couple of decades to achieve its objectives, and how it is likely to go about doing so. It also examines what the country has learned, and what the world in turn can learn from China's achievements and mistakes. The book is an insider account provided by a distinguished Chinese politician who has first-hand experience with government operations and decision making processes. Mr. Lau Nai-keung, the author, is a member of Basic Law Committee of the National People's Congress Standing Committee and a visiting professor of Jinan University and the Beijing Business Management College. He is also serving as an adviser to different research institutions in China. From 1987 to 2007, Mr. Lau had served as a National Member of the 7th to 10th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the highest consultative body in the country.
