On Holy Ground

Latter-day Saints are used to the idea that they have the fulness of the restored gospel. But what if the Lord has given us the fulness of the gospel through our ability to connect with and learn from other's belief traditions as much as from restored truths?

In On Holy Ground, James Holt shows through his experiences that there are many things people of all religions can learn from each other. Holt goes on to say there should be less 'Äúus'Äù and 'Äúthem, 'Äù and that through respectful and curious dialogue the space between people of different religions can be transformed into its own form of holy ground for our understanding.

As he analyzes eight different religions throughout his book, Holt shares over thirty years of experiences of teaching religion and his personal inter-faith encounters. This book will help readers appreciate that the Lord is working among all people, and if we truly live the commandment to love one another, we must take time to get to know other people and what is sacred to them.¬+

Holt'Äôs book will help all Latter-day Saints understand the importance of respectful and honest discussions about personal beliefs and religion with others. His insights transform the perspective of readers filling them with more compassion and understanding.
