You may choose to follow the 40 prayers sequentially (daily or weekly) or to browse it and use a specific number for an objective. We pray that each set (Scripture, Prayer, Reflections/Activities) will help you to focus your goals. Being a guide to our youth carries incredible responsibility and opportunity. Any adult working with adolescents on a consistent basis knows that there are many rewards and many challenges. Sometimes we don't get to see the positive effects of our efforts and don't feel appreciated. Other times we watch amazing growth and transformation. It is our hope that this book will provide you with encouragement and support in the relationships that you develop with youth. No matter what role you have in influencing a young person, you have the potential to have a powerful impact. A prayerful focus in your interactions with those you work/minister with or for will help you to deepen your relationship with God and strengthen the connections you make with the youth you reach out to."
