Rough Design

"Rough Love" is the third book in a trilogy, the other two are "A Day in the Rough" and "Rough Love." Stoke Spencer is the author's interpretation of what Holden Caulfield (of "Catcher in the Rye") would be like as an adult, successful in business and loser in love. In "Rough Design," he becomes entangle in a strange triangle of love and business that includes a high end home decorator and a soft core pornographer. The book exposes the underbelly of both of these businesses and the unholy alliances that exist between the principal players and their clients. The story line is diverse and imaginative. The main characters are greatly flawed in a number of different ways. And, they ultimately receive their due. Readers who are interested in how deals come together and the disturbingly out-sized egos of the participants will enjoy the book.
