My Reluctant Journey: A Memoir of a Gay Dad

My book takes the reader through the journey of my life from my difficult birth in a Glasgow slum to the present day. I travelled the world with my job as a contractor, and met many different kinds of people, some good and some bad, all of which I relate to in my story. I also had many adventures along the way and many sexual interludes that in the end made me realise I was gay and what I had to face up to. His story is an account of his time living and growing up in Glasgow and his travels, the hardships and challenges in maintaining a job and an insight into the gay scene in Scotland at that time. It is also an account of his struggle coming to terms with his own homosexuality and his acceptance of it. As a consequence he faced a lot of anguish and confused emotions early in his life regarding his innermost feelings and the tenuous relationship with his family.
