Foreign Son

Navigating the shadowy streets of a troubled, wartime Harlem, decorated soldier, Lieutenant Vincent LaSalle is unexpectedly back in New York. Tomorrow, he sets sail aboard a Navy Destroyer to rejoin his unit in England. Staggered by his surprise appearance, Vierna Lillis, the woman whose heart beats in sync with his, shudders with joy and pain.
The couple's brief reunion begins a journey that careens toward a complex web of espionage and peril.

Across the Atlantic, a crisis brews within the covert corridors of British Intelligence. Clandestinely dispatched to recover critical intelligence stolen by the Nazis, Jan Holling, a vital and talented adjutant to her nation's elite code breakers has vanished deep inside enemy territory along with her team. When all of them undergo unspeakable torture in an attempt to wrest the secrets from their minds, the need for an immediate and audacious rescue becomes desperate.
Having witnessed the extraordinary capabilities and resilience of Vincent LaSalle firsthand, even while handicapped by the politics of race, Spymaster, Charles Petrie asks the underutilized American warrior to do the impossible with the support of the Polish resistance: get Jan and the others out before it's too late.

But an already impossible mission has more sides than Vince realizes. There are traitors deeply embedded within the British intelligence community. Because of them, he finds himself in the heart of enemy territory engaging a foe that knows more than should be possible. Still, there is no room for error. Any wrong decision could mean the deaths of Vince and everyone else.

'Foreign Son' is a gripping tale of love, struggle, and resilience, set against the backdrop of one of mankind's darkest hours.
