A collection of love letters to Ellie Kis spanning four decades. One of six children born to a Polish concentration camp survivor and a local Brighton girl. After a turbulent childhood, pregnant at fifteen, Ellie left home and married two days after her 16th birthday. Within 2 years Ellie had separated from her husband after realising she was a Lesbian. This led to her fighting a bitter court case in which she became the first lesbian in European history to get sole custody of her Son (Darren, then aged 7). During her lifetime Ellie lived in more than 30 homes: squats, mansions, caravans, tower blocks, cottages and camper vans. Surviving, fires, floods, thefts, illness, injury and on occasion violent partners. Ellie worked as a chef, bouncer, interior decorator, restaurant owner, club promoter, theatre manager and dog whisperer to name a few. But above all else Ellie most wanted to be an author.
