Americanisation of W. T. Stead

This book establishes the importance of W. T. Stead as a mediating force between British and American culture in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. It demonstrates the political, literary and journalistic importance of Stead's influence on the development of modern British journalism revealing the significance of his transatlanticism.
