This story covers 47 years of physical, sexual, and spiritual abuse, yet the author leaves the reader with a feeling of hope and spirituality. It also gives a personal glimse into two other lives, one who was able to express the family secret and receive counseling, return to college and receive a degree and certification in family counseling, and one young lady who could not receive help even though she tried and has been institutionalized. The book tells of the difficulties of being a victim and the success in becoming a whole and emotionally well and productive individual.
