Xenophobia

Imagine a world whose inhabitants can no longer go out after dark or look up into the night skies. Now the legendary griffins own the darkness and if you see one of them, they will know. Created by a long dead king in the first age of man, awakened from their slumber, they wreak havoc on all of mankind. Half lion and half eagle, genetically manipulated to tear through stone and steel, no one can stop them, save for one man. Now only he and he alone knows their secret and how to stop them. But to destroy the griffins, he and his team might well have to unleash an even greater, more menacing threat upon the world.
