Man Called X: Eye of the Storm

THE BEGINNING OF A NEW AGE OF HEROES! On the streets of Detroit, Michigan, well-known scientist and researcher John Wilson is reported missing; kidnapped in the dead of night with the only clues of his possible condition being a luxury car purchased in his name, blown to bits on a major street in the heart of the city, with no eye-witnesses. Such a case could only be trusted in the hands of one man. Detective Thomas Millcrowe is hands down the best lawman on the force. And his new partner - a transfer inspector from London - is the best he's seen in years, which might not bode well for the secret he's been keeping from the very city he's vowed to protect. So when the two find that more than just the life of one scientist hangs in the balance, Thomas is caught in a situation he thought he would never find himself in; protecting the two things he holds most precious at the same time - his city, and his secret.
