About this book

Ashaunti, a bad ass chick from the southeast projects of DC with a lot of ambition, and a dream of starting her own clothing line, she learns that being in love with one of the hustlers in the hood and being one of the princesses of the Kramer family doesn't mix. When her worlds began to collide she quickly realizes that she has to make a decision that might make or break her relationship with Chris. Despite the fact that she lives in the projects with obstacles to face, she knows Chris loves her dearly but trying to keep her out of harm's way only brings more drama to the relationship and her home life. Chris has pressure from her father, one of the oldest baddest, retired, drug dealers in the hood to keep his daughter out of the streets, watching his back and protecting his business all while trying to love, protect and cherish her. For Ashaunti the pressures of life begin a race for time that has her trying to maintain a good grade point average to qualify for a scholarship to the Institute of Design in New York, maintain a relationship with her love and be a role model for her sisters, and still find time to be herself. The obstacles don't seem that hard to bear until it all comes crashing down.
