Science of Track & Field: Volume 3: Data & Graphs for Science Lab

This book contains graphs showing the motions associated with sprinting, hurdles, and long jump, as well as throwing a shot put, discus, javelin, and hammer. Perspectives on motion include side view and top view. Graphs include comparisons of correct and incorrect throwing techniques on trajectory. These data can be used for lesson plans by teachers and parents. Note: These data were collected using lightweight track and field equipment, and with constrained physical exertion, due to limitations of lab space, equipment, and safety considerations. Most throws were limited to 14 feet. Actual forces generated in competitive track and field events are larger.
