"You're not a real paramedic until you've killed someone." These are the words that veteran paramedic Chris Jacobs heard when he first started his career, and they are the words that echo in his ears when a pregnant patient takes her last breath. He keeps telling himself that it was a medical mistake...not a crime, but when his patient dies he tries to cover it up. A vindictive partner threatens to turn him in-ending his career and way of life. Losing his job means losing his medical insurance. If this happens, then his disabled son may never walk on his own. Chris is pushed to the edge, and in the heat of the moment he kills his partner of three years. Now he faces an even bigger problem when a sly detective is on his tail. He must fight to cover up one lie after another as the body count keeps climbing. He finds himself in a vicious circle of murder and romance, with his son caught in the middle.
