The EERO Link by Betty Fox While working at a block of flats, a young window cleaner, Pieter Willenski, sees a woman being battered to death by someone he thinks is a burglar. Pieter is a Bosnian asylum seeker who is reluctant to get involved with the police, and decides to report the matter to a private detective (Deborah Vale) who is based in the next block of flats. The woman who was attacked, a Mrs Cathy Watson, is an executive of a charity called EERO (East European Refugee Organisation) which brings refugees from Bosnia to England, getting them jobs and accommodation.................... What is happening behind the scenes at the offices of EERO? Flamboyant Private Investigator Deborah Vale and her resourceful assistant, Rosie Dunne, start to make discreet enquiries and soon find themsleves embroiled in a web of fraud, drug smuggling, blackmail and murder.
