Edward, simple stable hand, and Lady Beatrice, daughter of a wealthy lord, should never have met. But meet they do, and fall in love. Nothing can keep them apart except a cruel decision from Beatrice's parents. Unbeknownst to her, they have already arranged her marriage to a harsh older uncle much admired by her mother.
