Modern Country Homes

Innovative architects strive to reinvent the country house and develop a new rural architecture rather than simply remodeling or recreating traditional forms and techniques. The design process involves the transfer of an urban design consciousness out of the cities into rugged environments. The resulting homes can be described as simple and practical, but most importantly, as a type of construction that is often an impressive balance between a natural setting and modern architecture.

Complete with floor plans, diagrams, and hundreds of interior and exterior photographs, you will learn how to make the most of both your living space and nature together. This book is not just for country home owners, but for anyone seeking a quick escape. Modern Country Homes will without a doubt inspire you to take on home projects of your own--and maybe even make a trip out to the country.
