Bitter Blessings

After getting married and moving from New York, Alene is plagued with one misfortune after another, eventually plummeting her into a nervous breakdown. The unconditional love of her sister Thelma, now a wealthy retired teacher; is left with no choice but to leave her comfortable home in the Baltimore suburbs and move in with her sister to the inner city projects. While nursing her sister back to motherhood, a secret is buried that finds its way back into their lives and challenges their love, faith and family devotion.
