This book is written to help children, parents, and teachers understand the basics of ADHD. It is not intended to take the place of a thorough assessment from a mental health professional. If your child has been hyperactive, talkative, forgetful, easily distracted, unable to follow instructions, has tantruming behavior, and is unorganized, and if these symptoms have been going on for six months or more and has caused difficulty for the child in more than one setting, i.e., school and home, your child may need to have an assessment as it could be Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. (ADHD).
