Confessions of a Conspiracy Nut: Diary Notes on the Tsarnaev Case

"It has been clear from ancient times that confession statements are the weakest and most suspicious of all testimony." Even after Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's trial and confession supposedly eliminated all lingering doubt of his guilt, many people still do not believe that "it was him." LauraW details the unanswered questions and inconsistencies that remain in this case. She talks frankly about the frustration and isolation experienced by those who dare to speak out for Tsarnaev. She also examines the larger context of the bombings, including: anti-Muslim prejudice, U.S. foreign policies which encourage terrorism, FBI policies which sometimes manufacture it, and a broken justice system which often forces innocent defendants to confess or take guilty pleas in an effort to save their lives.
