Knight Templar, or the Avenging Saint: A Positronic Book

Simon Templar returns to battle Rayt Marius in this early Saint adventure of vengeance, danger, and outlaw justice. In Knight Templar, also published as The Avenging Saint, Leslie Charteris sends his famous rogue hero back into conflict with one of his deadliest enemies: an arms dealer whose schemes have already brought death and whose reach makes him a threat far beyond ordinary crime. Simon Templar is not a policeman, not a detective in the usual sense, and not a respectable guardian of the law. He is the Saint: debonair, reckless, dangerous, and willing to fight corrupt men with methods they understand.

First published in 1930, Knight Templar belongs to the formative years of the long-running Saint series, when Charteris's hero was still especially close to the pulp adventurer and gentleman outlaw: witty, romantic, violent when necessary, and guided by his own fierce code. The novel continues the struggle against Marius from The Last Hero, making it an important title for readers following the early Saint sequence as well as for fans of classic crime-adventure. For readers of Leslie Charteris, Simon Templar, vintage thrillers, gentleman-rogue fiction, early twentieth-century adventure, and classic crime stories, Knight Templar, or The Avenging Saint is a fast, stylish Positronic Book entry in one of the great popular adventure series.
