Flames of an Avalanche

After discovering the truth behind the Snowflake Project, Ember barely had time to come to terms with her origin before uncovering more deadly secrets about Titus Camp and his inter-galactic company, CGC. Wounded and separated from her family, she is brought to the stunning, purple planet Amaranthine to work alongside her father on a project as they ready for war. Her memories were supposed to be erased, but with the help of an old friend, Ember is able to fool those around her. She is in the perfect position to become a spy for the underground resistance group nicknamed "The Slush." Ember's mission? To work both sides of the coming war in order to stay alive and save The Slush from having their memories stolen. But things get complicated when Ember falls in love with her father's most trusted agent, Ramsay. Her double-life seems like it might be short-lived, but as she digs deeper into the mysteries of CGC, she begins to ask questions that can only mean she is in too deep to turn back. How much does our identity depend on our memories? Do frozen embryos have rights? How responsible are we for things we have done out of ignorance? The Flames of an Avalanche is the beautifully crafted sequel to The Silent Rhymes of a Snowflake. It is a story about family, romance, the future, and ethics.
