Prison Without Bars: Forgiveness Holds the Key

A true life story of a young girl rising above the emotional and mental abuse she experienced at home growing up and in her marriage, only to come full circle to forgiveness. Finally, Deb Deaton has the courage to share her awe inspiring journey allowing us to sit ringside and watch as she triumphs with exceptional grace and fortitude in spite of severe mental, emotional and physical abuse at home. Many of us live our lives locked in invisible prisons as a result of fear, shame and guilt. It is our self-esteem that holds us prisoner. While, others, like her son, Jason, are serving life sentences and finding freedom within the walls of the justice system with little hope of being released. Amazingly, through it all, Deb was a champion archer with her father. She was a competitive gymnast just missing the 1976 Olympics. And then, she worked directly with Mr. Bill Gates to develop training for over 25,000 Microsoft employees. There's more, and it's all in the book. Prison Without Bars shows us that Deb is an incredible person of great beauty and strength. Given her Native American heritage, it is no surprise that Deb also possesses incredible insight into people and animals. Her deep connection to Scottie, an abused horse who rescued her as much as she rescued him, was deeply spiritual and is now timeless. Together, they shared a bond that brought both of them tremendous healing. If you've ever been through challenging times and risen up, you will love Prison Without Bars. If you are searching for your own personal transformation, Prison Without Bars is a must read.
