Riding the Storm: - 10 New Poems

"In Riding the Storm, [Fazzini] is less concerned with elemental symbols ... and takes his inspiration from the poetry of other poets in other languages, riffing on the style and feel of poems by the likes of Julio Llamazares, Don Maclennan, César Vallejo, Ana Blandiana and Eugénio de Andrade. "The brevity of the poems belies their philosophical weight as he explores our place in the cosmos, humanity's narrowness before the immensity of the natural phases, and the struggle of poetry in a technological world grown ignorant of the importance of myth, metaphor and linguistic depth." - from the introduction by Douglas Reid Skinner
