Eight Weeks in Africa

This book is a photographic travel book which shows and tells the journey of its author Paul R Davies through 6 countries in Africa. The author and illustrator has compiled this book with the intention of creating a 'show and tell' visual travelogue of Africa. With up to 300 photos in this book, the emphasis is more so on the 'show' side than the 'tell'. However, Paul has carefully captioned each and every image in order to take the reader right there on his journey, and inform them about the landscapes, buildings and people he encountered. There are a range of travel guide books out there, plus also travel 'narratives' but what has been created here is somewhere between the two. The inclusion of a vast array of African scenes is an attempt to inform and inspire people to take their own journey out there.
