Thomas Bitnar grew up in Prague surrounded by all styles of European architecture, but the International Style, Czech Functionalism, and Czech Cubism have most influenced his work. His professional experience spans almost five decades, crossing boundaries from a Central Europe culture steeped in history and oppressed by Communism, through a Germany on the verge of transition, to the high-density business culture of New York City, and to the pioneer culture of the American West.
