Jonathan's Book of Abstract Designs is forty two pages long and consists of an introduction followed by thirty six illustrations. All drawings were created by the author and involved the use of Artrage (TM), a graphics program. The outlines of the drawings started as coloring pages. Many illustrations consist of simple shapes and patterns. A few are drawn to resemble Kawaii (Japanese for "cute") cartoons. Artrage (TM) features a number of interesting functions. One such feature allows you to create color textures resembling metal, metallic paint or glitter. The purpose of this book is to inspire the reader to create his or her own abstract art, especially coloring pages and coloring books.
