Zoe's Guide to Therapy is for children and families exploring the beginning stages of the therapeutic process. This story was developed from frequent interactions with children and parents who were often unsure of what to expect when starting therapy. Like many children, Zoe the main character, struggles with dealing with her feelings and expressing her emotions, and has difficulty understanding the reasons for therapy. In this book she shares an experience, and her reactions guide you through what the process was like for her in a fun, loveable and easy to understand way. This book is designed to bring relief, clarity and understanding to you and your child. My hope is that children and their families will learn to embrace and appreciate the benefits of therapy.
