Michael Packer (1950-2017), was a musician's musician, who had the deepest sense of devotion to his art. Throughout his many incarnations as an artist and songwriter, he maintained the highest level of musical integrity, taking him from Folk/Rock, to Pop/Country, and finally to his destiny as a great bluesman, and his induction into the Blues Hall of Fame. Despite a life who most would not survive-an alcoholic, drug abuser, incarcerated convicted felon, homeless on the streets of New York, Michael emerged to defeat his demons and leave behind a vast legacy of classic recordings.
