These two global agreements provide the context for various stakeholders to set their own sustainability agendas. The authors argue that sustainable energy is not only vital for human activity, but also achievable during the 21st century to support the sustainable living of 10 billion people. This will require system transformation in the above areas and the need for the regulatory, business, technology entrepreneurs, knowledge and talent development communities, as well as civil society, to all work together to realize a sustainable energy future.
