Women in Eternity, Women of Zion

Women in Eternity, Women of Zion¬+by Alma Don Sorensen and Valerie Hudson Cassler

Women in Eternity, Women in Zion is a superb discussion of the standing of women and of gender relations in general in LDS culture and theology. In contrast to the common view that women have importance only secondary to men, this book emphatically illustrates the LDS position that women and men have equal status in the eternities and supports the statement with extensive quotes from the scriptures and LDS authorities. This book is an in-depth exploration of the richness of LDS beliefs concerning men, women, and their equality in the Great Plan of Happiness. It addresses issues that have tended to obsure gender equality, thereby causing pain for men and women alike.
