Lessons in Tolerance and Diversity

Lessons in Tolerance and Diversity is designed to provide teachers and counselors with tools to help reduce racial, religious, ethnic and social prejudice in their schools and to promote tolerance and the celebration of diversity. This highly effective instructional tool helps students better understand the roots of stereotyping and prejudice while examining some of the influences that form their ideas about race, disabilities and other differences. It also explores how stereotypes influence behavior. The lessons are presented in a logical, developmental sequence, from valuing self and cultural identity through communication and conflict management to cooperation and team building.
