Flower Essences for Animals: Remedies for Helping the Pets You Love

Lila Devi (pronounced lee-lah day-vee) lives in the rugged high desert country of the Sierra Nevada foothills at Ananda Village in Nevada City, California. It was here in 1977 that she developed the Spirit-in-Nature Essences, the second oldest essence line in the world today. A lifelong love of people and pets has inspired her collection, over several decades, of animal case histories that have provided the foundation for Flower Essences for Animals.

Lila lectures extensively both nationally and abroad. She brings an expansive view of plants and animals-expressed through her creation of the flower essences-to her programs, radio shows, and television appearances. Drawing on her skills as a writer of songs, poetry, and plays and on her talent as a musician-vocalist, guitarist, and composer-her classes present a fresh and refreshing approach to Nature and awareness.

A graduate with honors from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, Lila majored in English and psychology and also earned a secondary-teaching certificate. Teaching English and running a group home for the developmentally disabled preceded her founding of the Spirit-in-Nature Essences. Her first book, The Essential Flower Essence Handbook, is is also available in Italian, Japanese, and English in India.
