This Teacher's Guide provides a clear structure for teaching the Cambridge IGCSE(TM) Art and Design syllabuses (0400, 0989, 6090) and for using the accompanying Student's Book, while allowing teachers the flexibility to adapt materials to their own teaching style and classroom context. The second edition offers comprehensive coverage of the Cambridge IGCSE(TM) Art and Design (0400), Cambridge IGCSE(TM) (9-1) (0989), and O Level (6090) syllabuses for examination from 2028.

The guide fully supports the approach of the Student's Book and outlines best practices for teaching Art and Design. It includes lesson plans, projects, and activities suited to a wide range of international classroom environments, along with guidance on resourcing and managing an art and design classroom. Teachers will also find support for helping students develop their portfolios and practical assessments, including strategies for integrating this work throughout the course.

Annotated student case studies and examples of artists' work demonstrate how to record ideas, observations, insights, and judgments in support of students' own creative development. The guide is written and developed by experienced Art and Design teachers and practitioners.
