Desert Lost LP

While running surveillance in Scottsdale, P.I. Lena Jones discovers the body of a woman connected to an infamous northern Arizona polygamy cult. With help from a former polygamist "sister wife," Lena soon discovers a shocking secret: in a society where one man can have ten wives, nine men will have none. While searching for the victim's lost son, Lena is visited by her beloved foster mother Madeline. The visit renews Lena's memories of her own damaged childhood and brings new clues to the identity of her biological parents, who abandoned her when she was four years old. Arizona polygamy and its discarded sons and Lena's lost past converge in a case fraught with danger. Former journalist Betty Webb has interviewed many subjects, including polygamy runaways. Desert Lost is the second novel in her Lena Jones series to deal with the issues of polygamy. www.bettywebb-mysteries.com
