Out from the Heart: A Classic New Thought Guide to Spiritual Self-Mastery and Inner Transformation

Out from the Heart is James Allen's concise work of spiritual self-mastery, moral discipline, and inward transformation. Written by the author of As a Man Thinketh, the book develops Allen's central conviction that the inner life becomes the outer life: thoughts become actions, actions become habits, and habits shape character and destiny. Its chapters move through the heart and the life, the nature and power of mind, formation of habit, doing and knowing, the first steps in the higher life, and the effects of mental conditions.

For Sublime, this belongs squarely with Allen's classic New Thought and self-culture titles: serious, plain, morally demanding, and centred on the purification of thought and conduct. Out from the Heart is not modern motivational writing, but early twentieth-century spiritual philosophy in the conduct-of-life tradition. Allen's language of heart, mind, purity, habit, self-discipline, and higher life gives the book its lasting force: outward peace and strength begin with inward order.

For readers of classic self-help, New Thought, spiritual growth, personal transformation, and James Allen's writings on mind and character, Out from the Heart remains a brief but substantial guide to the disciplined life of thought, virtue, and inward freedom.
