Valencia and the Velvet Dress

Valencia is a kind ten-year-old, who always sees the good in others. When she receives a dress for a special performance at school, she can't stop wearing it. After many taunts, rumors, and finger-pointing--especially from neighborhood boy Joseph-Kelly Hunter--Valencia's parents come up with the perfect plan to stop the ugly rumors before Valencia gets word of them.
