Child's Garden of Verses: Abridged Edition for Boys and Girls

"The rain is falling all around,

It falls on field and tree,

It rains on the umbrellas here,

And on the ships at sea."

-Robert Louis Stevenson, A Child's Garden of Verses

This jacketed hardcover edition of A Child's Garden of Verses-Abridged for Boys and Girls (1902) by Robert Louis Stevenson contains the first 42 of the 65 poems in the original edition of Robert Louis Stevenson's much-loved classic. With numerous illustrations (some in color) by E. Mars and M. H. Squire, its shorter length has made it at the time a popular choice for classroom use.
