Lion's Curse: Trial of the heart

In the village of Nembela, fear and faith intertwine as whispers of a deadly lion curse shape every life. But the true danger may not lurk in the savannah-it may live within the human heart. The Lion's Curse: Trial of the Heart follows the intertwined journeys of Kapoosense, a humble sage burdened by grief and secrets, and Kanbe, his devoted mentee stepping reluctantly into leadership. As the village reels from mysterious deaths, ancient scripts, and long buried truths, both men confront forces that test their courage, loyalty, and understanding of destiny. To the villagers, the lion is a beast of shadow and fury. Yet the deeper question remains: Is the curse real, or is it a reflection of the fears, desires, and fractures within the community itself? Through acts of love and betrayal, cowardice and sacrifice, the people of Nembela reveal the many ways a heart can be tested-and transformed. As Kanbe investigates Finetin's death and deciphers cryptic ancestral verses, he discovers that the path to truth is tangled with myth, memory, and the weight of inheritance. Meanwhile, Kapoosense must reckon with his own past and the limits of wisdom as he guides the village through its darkest hour. The first volume of a two part saga, Trial of the Heart invites readers into a world of suspense, spirituality, and self discovery-where the lion's shadow reveals not only danger, but the possibility of transformation.
